Please help - We need your plant donations
The Center Of Health sponsored a flower bed at Seamon Park.  We are
looking to expand to more beds by providing seasonal interest from
spring through fall.
We would love to receive donations from gardens within our community
(i.e., bulbs, perennials, 1-3' shrubs) or purchased plants.  Visiting
the park and seeing the plant from your garden or a donation in memory
of someone special always brings on a smile.

I just read the article about Saugerties and I got so homesick.  I lived  in Saugerties from 1932 to 1941.  My father owned a very large  grocery store across the Elks club. I went to school with Ann Cahill, Barbara Vosdick, Albert Cutler, Albert Whitiker. If any of these people remember me and would like to say hello, my maiden name was Roberta Schuster. now Roberta  Lessman. Saugerties is my most favorite place in the  world.  My happiest years were there prior to my marriage.   I now live in Florida but if anyone would like to get in touch, my e-mail address is R2L2@aol.com.

A write up sent in from a former resident.   Hello - "Wow" was my reaction yesterday when I found  Saugerties
in the Escapes section of the Times.  As a young  girl I spent many
summers with my family and extended family on a farm  in Saugerties and to this day( 55 or so years later), still have  wonderful memories of
it.  It was a farm owned by the Bitterman family  and they rented out
rooms in the large guest house.  I can clearly  remember going to a
wonderful swimming hole nearby...etc., etc..  and  of course, the
great meals that "grandma" Bitterman made.  Are  there any members
of the Bitterman family still in the area...OR, is  there anyone who might
know where anyone of them presently lives?  I  clearly remember
Catherine, one of the daughters.
One day I'll take a daytrip up to Saugerties with my  sister.  Until then,
allow me to wish you and your staff a very Happy,  Healthy New Year
with continued prosperity.
