Film: The Hidden History of Slavery in New York Sat June 13th, Noon - 1:30 p.m. Saugerties Public Library, 91 Washington Avenue “The Hidden History of Slavery in New York” won an award at the 67th annual NY Emmy Awards. Larry Epstein wrote, produced and researched the project, and he will present this film along with a Q&A session afterwards. Learn in this 30-minute documentary how the Transatlantic slave trade was centered in the north, not the south, in the 17th and 18th centuries - with New Amsterdam as its epicenter - and Wall Street as its largest slave market.
